Laura McGill blames her parents for turning her into a writer. It might have been the frequent moves to boring small towns across America. It might have been the five siblings that woke her up to give her ghost stories and big glasses of water. It was definitely the lack of cable.
If she’d had a normal life, she could be home right now with her clever husband and their two children. Instead, she’s writing in the over-air-conditioned library while the creepy guy in the corner whispers to himself.
Laura grew up in the U.S. Air Force, dabbled in several martial arts, and studied psychology. So she can imitate multiple American accents, put you in a headlock, and diagnose your personality disorders…all at once.
Her stories are primarily science fiction, fantasy, and young adult. She is a forever fan of Ray Bradbury, Octavia Butler, Terry Pratchett, Jane Austen, Patrick Rothfuss, and Peter S. Beagle.
